Grave Restoration and Grave cleaning
I take great pride in carrying out all restoration works personally, to ensure the best quality finish possible, with no damage to your precious headstone. Due to the unsettled climate in Ireland, the Natural Stone used to make the Memorial becomes weathered and dirty over time. All headstones made from Irish limestone and white marble need to be professionally cleaned, on average every 10 years. Modern granite headstones, however, can be simply DIY cleaned using hot water and soap as regularly as you like.

After cleaning a headstone the lettering will have to be restored. This service is available at €90 when purchasing a headstone restoration cleaning, this is also a good time to add a new grave finish eg decorative stones or synthetic grass.
Many monumental sculpture companies and stonemasons will recommend replacing the old limestone or marble with a modern granite headstone, as this requires less work! I don’t believe in doing this, as the original headstone is part of history, and as long as it’s not broken into many pieces I will guarantee to restore it back to its original condition, using traditional and modern methods.
